Question by surferob: what is the best natural cure for toe fungus?
my big left toe is yellowing and is aproximately 1/8″ thick; how can I cure this?

Well, it’s not a natural cure, but spray lysol on it. This isn’t a joke to make your toe burn or something, toe fungus runs in the family. Gross, I know.

    Some home remedies are using Vick’s Vapor Rub on the affected area. No kidding, this was in one of Dr. Gott’s articles in the paper on how to cure nail fungus infections. Another is to use tea tree oil directly on the area repeatedly and keep the area as dry as possible. Dr. Gott listed several alternatives in his answer from pharmaceutical treatments to home treatments. Good luck.

    The only thing that will work is an anti-fungal such as terbinafine from the doctor (it’ll take several months though).

    You can try the vapor rub/ tea tree oil nonsense, but when you’re sick of the smell and no results for a few months you’ll wish you went to the doctor in the first place.

    Rub Vick’s vapor rub on it twice a day. It takes about 3 weeks to a month.
