Is there a natural cure for Hepatitis C? If not how can it be cured? I read that Hep C now has a 100% cure rate. Is this true.

It is a chronic disease of the liver and there is no cure, or vaccine to prevent it. However, people now live a long time with it as there are many things to treat it and keep it under control, as with HIV. Good luck.

Where are you getting this information??? That is not true!!! I have/had hep c and just got done with the treatment. There is no natural way to cure it it is an anti-viral therapy that is a lot like chemotherapy. There is not a 100% cure rate and the word cure is used lightly. Hep C can not be cured. However, with treatment, some people are able to get to a point that their viral load (amount of virus in the blood) is so low that it is not detectable.
It’s not a 100% cure rate – but you have a chance of 70%+ if you have genotype 2 or 3. You have a 40%+ chance if you have genotype 1.
Do the treatment – pegylated interferon and ribivirin. Did my treatment in 2004…still “cured” Just got a five year checkup two weeks ago – all clear still.
It works, I had genotype 1, so it is “cureable”.
There is no such thing as a natural cure for HCV infection.
The ONLY chance one has at becoming “sustained” (cured) is that with antiviral chemotherapy, ie, Inteferon and Ribavirin. (or equivellent)
Sustained means cured in the hepper community. Doctors are more confident in using cured in the term sustained virologic response.
